Don't use if you don't have PDM control
To be fair, the fans are probably fine but I never got to use it as I trashed it. I wanted it to replace a fan that had 3 wires, red and black. This one has 3, all black and no instructions. I did trial and error to find positive, neutral and control and sadly in the process got a plume of the white smoke of death. In the bin it went.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Doubles as a processor fan
I wanted to replace a noisy processor fan. This one fitted in place ok, but I did have to drill the bolt hole recesses a bit deeper. It even had the right plug on it! Noisy fan ...
Bought this 'cause I wanted to install a silent fan in my ASRock ION 3D PC / Media Center replacing the original fan. This new 50mm fan was said to be extremely silent, so I bought to more for other similar purposes. It turned out that the fan part is very silent, much more than most, but the electrical motor within is very noisy!
