Not a bad buy
I found this product easy to assemble. I’m sure it’s a pain to keep changing tubes between the vacuum and the blower but I only want the vacuum component so that’s fine for me. It’s lightweight and has a nice padded shoulder strap. Much lower noise level than my old Flymo and I like the varying air control though it gets noisier with more suction but I found it worked well on a low setting. It seems to deal with damp leaves and small twiggy bits ok though I haven’t tried it out on really damp leaves yet. The mulching facility isn’t very good but I’m not particularly upset about that as mulched up wet leaves just make the product heavy to handle though it does mean you have to empty the bag more often. Nice big sturdy bag but a bit of an unnecessary pain to take on and off and emptying via a strange joined up zip. I’ve had a couple of leaf vacuums previously and I would say that this product is the best I’ve used so far though none of bathe leaf vacuums I’ve tried have got it completely right. After one use.
So far reasonably satisfied : have been asked to write a review but have used this item only once when leaves from two maple trees had fallen and were lying three and four deep on lawn and driveway . The leaves were wet and after fifteen minutes they started to clog the machine so I then had to blow them into ranks and pick them up in piles to pack into refuse bags to store for next year's leafmold. The Bosch replaced a twenty year old one that has just "died" ; the blower is a bit more powerful (on highest blow power) and works pretty well but the vacuum mode is disappointing owing to clogging --- perhaps it will be better on dry leaves. My old vac. was poor on the suction function so I didn't expect too much of the Bosch performance in that mode.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Top quality - not so good with wet leaves
This is a top quality piece of kit as I’d expect from Bosch. In leaf suction mode it shreds the leaves brilliantly for composting. Unfortunately this causes it to clog up the impeller/shredder when leaves are wet and would cause the motor to fail if not very careful. I filled the bag twice before giving up. Will wait for a drier crispy day. The blower function is also excellent. Ensure the retaining bolt is fully done up as the position is critical for the motor micro switches to activate. Other comments about it being a little heavy are true if you allow the bag to become very full but this is because it shreds so efficiently. I am approaching 72 and reasonably fit so managed ok.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bosch ALS 30 Corded Garden Vac/Blower
Having problems with my neighbours trees and not being as fit as I used to be I decided to try and make things easier for myself with this Bosch Garden Tool. It is one of many Bosch Garden and Household appliances that I own, reliable is the best word to describe them. The Blower came in a very neatly packed box and I dived in and checked all was there then started to assemble. This is a relatively easy task being the Blower is a bit bulky though not heavy. Its has safety features that are common sense and work well. The blower function requires that the unit is taken down and changed from the Vac position, this may not be to every ones liking but it gives you two tools that are extremely good rather than one tool that's a compromise. The Blower has two settings and the second setting is great and will do most things. The Vac is very powerful and shreds very well. the neck strap and grips provide a very well balanced machine. Being almost 70 the weight is good and I was not tired after using it. As with all Bosch equipment it is well thought out and would recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Heavy and difficult to control
This is my first Garden Blower and what surprised me was how heavy it is. I consider myself pretty fit and strong but after a few minutes of using this item I get tired ! Bosch blower
Only used once to blow off my front Tarmac driveway of dead leaves and grass cuttings from mowing the lawn(leaves and grass/ driveway slightly wet) and found the blower to be really powerful and handled the task with ease. 3000W Bosh ALS30 Garden Blow & Vacuum.
The 3000W Bosh Vac is a brilliant piece of kit it makes easy work of blowing & vacuuming leaves + it shreds them as well. My previous garden vacuum was unbranded and it was constantly blocking up, so i decided to go for a Bosh one which i think was a wise decision.
