Cheap copy
This product is not the same as the original equipment. The design has been simplified to make production cheaper and would result in poorer performance, with reduced gas flow and possibly, damage to the engine. Also, the weld around the upper flange is on the inside further reducing the dimensions of the port. This may be acceptable on a farm tractor, but not on a performance car like the MGTF!

Budget replacement MGTF Front exhaust down pipe
Whilst nothing wrong fitment wise with this pattern budget replacement downpipe, the twin downpipes are considerably shorter than the original factory specification and the ends squished to mate into a single pipe. Therefore the result may in my opinion result in a loss of engine power as they are critical in length to match the standard engine. My own remedy was to cut off the front section where it joins the flex pipe and weld on the original longer twin down pipes as these were in good condition.
