Extremely cheap and useful accessory for a range of older Lenovo laptops.
I have an old, but still useful, Lenovo T430 and have been using it on a stand. But I also have things plugged into it so its a bit of a nuisance to disconnect it. So I bought this dock to expand on the number of connections (it supports multiple monitors and has 6 USB ports on the back). Extremely useful accessory
I chose my Lenovo laptop specifically because it could be connected to a docking station. This has made my life so much easier. At work I have the docking station with one click the laptop is in place and is there connected to power supply, ethernet, wide-screen monitor, external keyboard and mouse like any other desktop PC. The array of USB ports allows to connect all kind of peripherals without fuss. At the end of the day it's one press of the button and the laptop is released, free to take along to meetings or on the train or work from home. I work from two desks and I bought a spare docking station for the second desk. I never had any issues with the connectivity or the release mechanism, neither did I have problems with overheating. Sometimes, however, it can take a few seconds until the external keyboard and mouse respond after plugging the laptop into the docking station. But this is only a minor issue to me. I am very happy about this system and I will from now on only buy laptops for work when they can be connected to a docking station. It makes life so much easier. The only downside is that this particular docking station does not include a CD Drive (the laptop has none). There are other bases/docking stations which come with a CD drive if this is required.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
