Just the right size...
Wanted a compact CD player & this is just the right size. Sounds good, controls logically set up, and easy to use. Only caveat is that this was listed as having AM/FM radio functions but is FM only. Rather than having a telescoping antenna, it has a long wire antenna which hangs in the way. This type of antenna is ok on stationary radios, such as a clock radio, but problematic on a portable device. Very happy so far!
I have long been saying to my friends, why can't they make a small CD player with a built in speaker like they do small cassette players? I mainly use my portable players to listen to audio books so it is very handy to be able to pick up the player and carry it from room to room without having to pick up an extra speaker and the cord between as well. This one seems to fit the bill even if it is larger than a cassette player would be. The sound seems good enough that I would be able to listen to music on it but I haven't even tried that yet. The only disadvantage is that uses C batteries instead of the AA's. I intend to go to BestBuy and get a recharger some rechargeable C batteries. I only use rechargeables in my small players. That way if I use them a lot, which I do, or if I forget and leave it on and the batteries go dead, I can replace them without going broke. Another thing I appreciate is the the buttons and dials are convenient and easy to use. I actually bought the first one for full price at the Target store near me, and liked it well enough to buy this second one through eBay when I saw it on half price sale. I will use it when I travel. I have no idea what the durability will be since I have only had it a couple of weeks but I'll cross my fingers that it lasts me for a couple of years or more.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very Handy CD Player & Radio
This is a useful, compact CD player and radio that works either on batteries or AC current. The sound quality is fairly good, a little lacking in treble, and the radio sports an analogue tuner (a dial), no fixed stations.
