Clean and clever add-on Apple Optical USB disk drive
Apple design and style is clean and welcoming. A simple round-edged square format, just thick enough to do the job, with a clean white USB lead. It fits nicely on my desk underneath my Apple magic trackpad, which is almost exactly the same size, without raising the trackpad noticeably above desk level to be intrusive when using it. This "super" drive just does eveything you would want an optical media drive to do, and you just plug it into a Mac and it does it. Like everything from Apple, it's not inexpensive, unless you can source one here on eBay. Bought a generic disc drive. Said it did everything but didn’t read half the disc formats it claimed to, like the ones I have. Apple USB SuperDrive, its compact & lightweight.
The Apple USB SuperDrive is a good product, it plays my DVD'S which i recorded on my video camera onto my Apple iMac, as the new imacs do not come with built in optical drives, the superdrive is also nice and compact ( just a little thicker then a dvd case) so it sits neatly under my desktop, and as its silver coloured blends in well. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to watch DVD'S on their computer screens. I bought mine from Currys and im very pleased with it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Speed drive, simply plug and play
No problems with this drive. Works as only apple know how to design. Pop up controls on screen when a disc is loaded when playing DVD or CD. When burning CD-R’s send the garage band track to iplayer or use ‘burn to disc’. Easy!
