Easy Installation.
Although this list hatch seems a bit flimsy when unboxing, once fitted it's quite sturdy and neat. I extended our loft hatch hole to the measurements given and put a nogging in. Offered up the frame with the help of the memsab and a broom and screwed it in with the supplied screw. Which were good not Chinese monkey metal ones. Don't over tighten the frame as it has to sit nice and square for the door to operate smoothly. Frame is screwed from underneath and all holes are hidden by the door. The door is also removable making it easier to fit larger items through. Another good product from Manthorpe.

Looks good, but very hard to open/close
Pro's...Looks great and a nice finish, a lot better than the hardboard cover that sat on the loft hatch before. Very Well priced. Provides a very good airtight seal. Cons...Very difficult to open and close due to the locking system. Cannot be opened with a pole, you need steps to manually pull it open/close. Negates the fitting of loft ladders if I still need step ladders to open the hatch. A decent loft cover (and I've fitted many) This one was bought for my own house so I have good knowledge of it..... sound construction and fairly easy to fit. My only negative is that it doesn't come with a 'pole/pole attachment' and the way this works involves the whole door opening , so I think more effort should have gone into the design of the "catch". A neat solution
If it fits the hole in your ceiling this is an easy job. And there is some, but not a lot of, leeway so measure up properly before ordering. It doesn't like being off square as the frame is quite flexible. As per the instructions make sure you don't over tighten the frame screws. Once in place does a very neat job. Good but stiff to operate.
Easy enough to install but like everyone else says it's quite stiff to close even after loosening the screws.
