  • A smile and a ribbon says it all.

This 'Best of' is actually an 'All of' as this disc includes all of the girls work including the original 'demo' recordings that got them signed to Liberty Records in the first place. To be honest most of the material is fair but forgettable as even in their heyday they were not at the forefront of musical tastes. The later 'pop' recordings are more lively but clearly show why they called it a day as they don't seem that comfortable with the material provided. To most, including me, the standout track has to be 'A Smile and a Ribbon' and that charming track certainly hasn't faded when others have. NB: they only recorded two tracks with Mike Clifford, the others tracks that follow are miscredited.
