Why Spend More
I'm convinced we fiyfishers spent far too much money on reels. At around $130, this reel is perfectly adequate for any fish to be taken on the rods and lines this reel is designed to hold. And, it looks classy doing it. The only downside, a very minor one, is this--to change the tension on the click, you must remove the reel spool and flip the pawl one way or the other to tighten or lessen the click tension. It can be gone without removing anything from the rod, except the spool. Make the adjustment, reinsert the spool and you are back in business. It has plenty of capacity and a very smooth action. I'm pleased with it and recommend to anyone looking for a lightweight reel.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The Best Reel by Far
I have owned many reels in my life and this Orvis Battenkill fly reel amazes me with the ease in which it functions. There are 4 drag settings that allows one to adjust to the types of fish. The mechanisms are snag free.
