Early days, but seems sturdy, reasonably accurate, and well enough made
Seems pretty well made for the price, with a decent cast metal body and sturdy fittings. Fitting the gauge parallel to the body, instead of at right angles as on some other models, gives it more protection from bumps. The gauge looks like a copy of a well known German brand, and like that, has a scale that far exceeds what most car, trailer or motorcycle users will need: up to 175 psi (12 bar). Consequently, the scale is tightly packed in the most likely 30-50 psi range, and it wouldn't be possible to get a very accurate reading. However, I always use my own gauge to check pressures, and this gauge agreed pretty closely with mine, so it's fine for inflating to a few pounds above the desired pressure, and then using a professional gauge to get it absolutely correct. If you used the gauge on the gun, you wouldn't be far out, if all are like this one. I previously bought and sent back a Sealey because it was wildly inaccurate. Note that the quick release adapter is the XF or Euro type, so fitted my Machine Mart compressor and my partner's Aldi compressor, but won't fit the common PCL Vertex type, which is longer and slimmer, although a converter can be purchased. The clip-on fitting to the tyre valve worked well, with a positive and leak-free result. It's early days to say if the long term quality is up to scratch, as I've used it only twice, but it feels like it should be good for a few years yet.
