USED MAMMOTH TAPE TO REPAIR BACKING ON RUG
I used the tape to repair the back lining on a rug, had to be washed after dog soiled it, used disinfectant and lots of water from a hose pipe outside resting the rug on the patio table, was allowed to dry but found that edging tape was coming loose, used mammoth tape to stick the edging back along, found the backing paper tricky to remove from the tape but otherwise easy to use and gave a good strong finish, allowed a day or so to allow the full bond strength to be achieved.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Rubbish
I just needed to stick a small, light metal butterfly to a pvc wall and it sticks for about half an hour and then falls off. I've tried it three times now - rubbish, only bought it for this one particular job so a complete waste of money. Good but not great

Really pleased with it's grip
Having had other double sided tapes I was a bit dubious, but on opening it (slight difficulty in getting the cellophane off!) I was very pleased that the grip is so strong. I didn't use the whole roll but I re-wrapped in clingfilm as not sure if it would dry out if open to the air. Excellent adhesive, really useful, but not easy to use!
Extremely hard to cut. Sharp knives, scissors etc are worse than useless, they just get mucked up. My advice is to get a vinyl place mat, or tile, or a piece of glass, and lightly stick about 3 inches of tape, with the backing on, to it, then hold each side of the tape with fingers on each side, and use a scalpel in between cut the amount you need. Peel it off the mat then use it. (I copied this info from an earlier review, and printed it out so I can refer to it each time I use the stuff.)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Yes. It is hard to pill of as someone stated and does not stick to everything like for instant dashboard as you Have to prepare the surface first for it to stick correctly. I Have used it a lot and in my taxi as well to stick the meter up and it stayed there for over year. And then the hot days came and it came of. So it is great staff but not Perfect. Heavy gel adhesive, not a tape.
It was not as I expected. There is quite a thick gel glue that leaves the tape and moves in a blob. I really needed a thin adhesive tape that stayed in place. If you want a heavy deposit of adhesive and no tape then this will probably be OK.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sticks like a limpet

Yes it is strong!
Brilliant at joining extra plastic strengthening strips on the inside of a replacement bath panel, where glue would not work. Used tiny piece at each end of strip to get it in correct place, removed one end, applied tape & Hey Presto - job done! Would be very difficult to pull apart, so really pleased. No problem at all removing the backing tape when applying so long as you keep an extra length of it on the roll when you cut the adhesive tape (easy to cut with scissors or sharp craft knife so long as you only try cutting through the adhesive tape & not the backing tape as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
