Jan Vokes, a cleaner and bartender, recruits her reluctant husband Brian and local accountant Howard Davies to help her bring together a syndicate of villagers to breed a foal - which they raise on an allotment and name Dream Alliance. Loved it as it wasn't slow going.
Light hearted and funny. The difference in characters each with their own attitude is brilliant. Read the book first so some things weren't included. A film to watch when you have had a bad day.
