    Just the best

    This is the definitive and authoritative version of Mary Shelly's little story. While it does not totally follow the book exactly, it is the version that set the tone and style of all later versions. Of particular importance is that the movie Young Frankenstein used many of the same sets and locations as this original. I highly recommend both.

    Founding Father of Horror

    This film is a classic and a must see. It laid the groundwork for so many films in the genre. It truly is a founding father of horror cinema. Boris Karloff is the only Frankenstein to do the monster justice.
