A team of EERO engineers could not get it working.
I wanted to replace a simple system that was tied to aa ISP static IP address. After two hours of trying on my own to get it working, I called my ISP to confirm all my settings and they were all correct. So I called EERO tech support. I have been setting up networks for the past 25 years, so this is not rocket science to me.
I spent nearly 2 hours on the phone with tech support to try and get it working..,. they put it to level two tech support, and nobody could figure out why it’s not working. I am going to stay with my current system, because there was no way to get EERO to work with a static IP.
EERO Tech support says they will call me back if they come up with a solution, but it will probably require a firmware upgrade to make it work.
If you are trying to place EERO to static, beware. If your ISP is DHCP, you will probably be ok. I’m sure the mesh system would have worked great hadn’t been able to be installed, but I am going to have to return the system.
What a waste of time and effort for such a simple process. Eero needs to go back to the drawing board for static up setup.
