    Excellent loop pedal

    With a 2 part looper and a plethora of drum tracks, the Boss RC-10R is a great tool for jamming and songwriting. I’ve previously tried other loop pedals with mixed results, but I found this model relatively straightforward to use and have based my rating on this experience, although reading the manual and watching YouTube tutorials is recommended to get full understanding and benefit from its functions. Its also worth considering the separately available FS-6 external footswitch which can be assigned to different functions in addition to the 2 footswitches on the pedal itself. Its also worth noting that Installing the free Boss Tone Studio software on your computer enables you to hook up the RC 10-R via USB for Firmware updates and save and import loops. The pedal also has MIDI capability, although this is not something I’ve used yet.

    Good for practicing at home. The drum thymes are very sterile but are great for practicing / composing new songs. Still looking for a quantisized loop pedal.
