THE BEST FLEA PROTECTION
My brother is a veterinarian and when I asked him about these flea collars (back when they first came out) he told me he was using them on his dogs and was very satisfied. That was enough for me: it’s been the ONLY flea collar I’ve used for my 10# chiweenie ever since ~ and she has had ZERO fleas!!! These collars really do last for 6-8 months too: just make sure to not put them on too loose otherwise the formula doesn’t reach the skin. I can easily stick one finger between the flea collar and my dog’s skin. Love this product for my dog. And love eBay prices for my wallet!!! P.S. Sorry, but it made my dog sick.
It seems to be fine for my friend's dog but after putting it on my dog, within a week she was sick. I don't know what's in this product but it was NOT good for my dog. It caused diarrhea and all she did was lay around and look sick. I'd call her name and she would pick up her head and look at me.. then lay her head back down. I honestly thought she might die if I didn't take that collar off of her. I had to cut it off. I threw it away. My dog seems a lot better now but it took a couple days after removing that collar for her to perk up. I've had her for 9 years and she never acted like this before ever. I won't buy another collar like that for her. My friend's dog isn't having a prob with hers. But my dog can handle Frontline without getting sick and Frontline makes her dog sick. I'm sure it's just the dog. Just like different people are allergic to different things.. I believe it's the same with dogs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Seems to work fine
I first have to say I'm using these as a preventative. Neither of my doxies have fleas. I haven't had a flea infestation in about 12 years - the one and only time I had one! It's a heck of a lot easier to prevent an entire home infestation than it is to clear one up! Anyway the two doxies I have now are 7 & 9 year old rescues that came to the shelter from a puppy mill. They think they're in heaven now, but each has had bad side effects with other topical and oral flea preventatives so I decided to give these a try. The only side effect I've noticed with these is a slight bit of scratching - a very slight bit, not enough to cause any problems or worries. Only time will tell if they work as intended in preventing fleas but I suspect they will based on other reviews. The price is actually great when you consider how long they last as compared to monthly treatments - either oral or topical. I didn't use the clip on reflectors because I'd worry about them falling off and then being eaten. Exercise some caution before cutting off the excess - I cut one a tad short so had to use a small cable tie to secure the "latch" properly after readjusting. After tightening they're a bit tricky to loosen and care must be exercised to prevent not breaking them at the break-away point (which is provided for the safety of the pet).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works Great
After years of using the topical flea treatments, I just love these collars. They are easy to put on, safe for the cat to wear even when outside (a few of mine are hunters), have no odor or greasy feel, and its really nice to put one on in the spring and not have to worry about treatments for the rest of the year. Best of all, they work! I have seen absolutely no fleas or ticks on my cats since I started using them, and I have 6, that go in and out all year around. I highly recommend these collars if you have cats and are looking for a safe, easy way to beat the bugs. Best flea and tick protection EVER.
I have 4 cats and live in the woods. Ever since I began using SERESTO, 2 years ago, I have honestly not seen any fleas, ticks, or other bugs on my cats or in my house. The collars are easy for cats to wear, with no irritation, and have reflectors you can clip on. The collar feels rubbery and is a slide on. The excess can be cut off for smaller cats. They do seem to be a little costly at first, but they truly last 8 months, so the cost is relative to lesser brands. I really appreciate being able to buy these on line for a good value. Best Tick Protection, Hands Down--No Contest
The price was the best I could find and the shipping was prompt. They may seem to be a bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for. The Serento collars are the absolute best, nothing else I have ever used comes anywhere close. I have been a dog owner for more than 50 years, so I have pretty much tried everything. My house is in a woods and I take my 3 dogs for a daily walk of a mile or two. Since I outfitted them with Serento collars 3 years ago, I have found no live ticks attached to them. Occasionally I find a dead tick attached, but by the small size it is obvious that they don't live long after coming in contact with the dog. It Works!!
This is the second Seresto flea collar I purchased for my dog. The first one worked so well I had to get another and will probably get it again. The first one lasted 7 full months. It rid my dog of fleas and he does not scratch. I knew it was time when I started seeing my dog scratching a lot. It took about 3 days to work because my dog has long hair. Before Seresto I tried other brand flea collars, the liquid you put on their back and flea shampoo. Nothing worked like Seresto. Getting it wet cuts down on the effectiveness. My wife and I have been using Seresto collars on our dogs for a few years now. We'd tried other products but they were messy or greasy to apply, or just didn't seem to do the job. With the Seresto collar you simply order a small or large collar, cut it to size, put it on your dog and forget about it for 8 months. No odor, it's not messy, and it works! Perfect fit
This is the first time using this brand flea collar. I have to say I was really impressed with how it attached. Most have a piece with teeth like saration that is supposed to hold it from loosening, but always seems to loosen. This one actually has ribs built in that holds it tighter.
