Great solid camera
I purchased this camera after buying a new car and wanting a little more protection. Our old camera, very popular brand at Halfords, was simply rubbish. Front camera is 1080p 60fps and rear camera is 1080p 30fps. It has excellent picture quality to both front and rear cameras during the day. Can easily recognise number plates at a distance. The camera quality does drop of a little when night time comes. Videos seem a little grainy. But the quality is still good, can still read number plates easily. It is still far better than its competitors. Installation is really easy, just route the very flexible cables around the car linings. And to actually connect to the camera using the app is easy. You will need a smart phone to do this. A old Nokia 3210 won't suffice. There are plenty of videos online of how to do this. I actually contacted Blackvue directly on facebook with a query and they were extremely helpful. Made sure when you are positioning the cameras the lens is in the swept area of your wipers. Otherwise you will just end up with a dirty looking video. Both cameras come with all sorts of led lights on when they are working. These can be individually turned off. Which makes the cameras less obvious. I haven't plugged the sd card into my laptop so i can't comment on that yet. The kit does come with a 16gb sd card already in the camera. This will give you around 1 hr 30mins recording on full hd. I will be upgrading mine to 128gb at some point. The camera is always recording front and rear. Videos have different save modes. You will have to search the meaning of these on Google. Overall I'm really happy with my cameras. On the expensive side for some people, but they are far superior to nextbase. You get what you pay for.

I upgraded to this camera for the Wi-fi features but it has proven very unreliable. Wi-fi is often unavailable or you will receive error messages. The cloud feature is painfully slow and also unreliable. Night vision? Makes no difference. Camera looks great in my car and does record nice video but I wish I had kept my old camera Blackvue dr430, as I don’t feel I’ve improved my system. Found the whole experience frustrating, software update yesterday has now shutdown the front camera. Lots of apologies from Blackvue, hope I don’t have an accident today. !Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor performance.
Very good value compared to the price new. Refurbished but looks new and has all new accessories etc. included in non original box. However, this is to replace an ageing DR650GW -2CH and I expected the images to be better with this. They are not really. Fortunately the power, front to rear cables and connectors are the same except or some reason BlackVue have replaced a 90deg coax. connector with a straight one which doesn't help with a top cable route. The front camera has a larger diameter at it's mounting point which means the older mount is too small - no big deal but why change it? The rear camera is exactly the same size as the older versions but is very slack in it's mount. The viewing angle has increased slightly for the better but the front camera image is no better and still 1080p. The rear camera is now 1080p and only slightly better. Do not use the enhanced night vision, it gives a daylight over exposure to the point it is too bright and washed out. So no real advantage there. In conclusion, I would recommend buying a different make of 2 chanel camera. Although good, I'm sure there are better out there.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Added security for drivers
This product is ideal. Why go for ultra HD at more than twice the price? If an incident takes place with your car, HD is good enough to see the license plate. parking mode is extra
Although this is a good product it has one major issue...if you want it to work in parking mode you must either buy one of two products that enable it to take power from the battery without draining it. Or you must buy an unbelievably expensive battery pack. There are competing dash cams that you don't need to buy the extras to get parking mode. Excellent camera for the series. Does have excellent parking mode so you can setup movement sensor along with G sensor and magic box give good protection which other brand has not to this level. Brilliant item
Have been playing with dash cams for a few years. This is by far the best I have seen. Took 20 minutes to run the wires around the vehicle and was set up and running within 30 mins of opening the box.
