Penn Affinity 8000 live liner reel.
Have been on the lookout for a more robust reel for heavy French fishing. Have been a Daiwa fan for years,but they are increasingly pricing themselves out! Saw a few reviews for these Penn 7000 & 8000 reels,and all agreed they were very robust and good value for money. They are. Yes,a bit bigger and heavier than offerings from Daiwa and Shimano,but they feel solid and the spool is excellent,with fantastic line lay.
