Simple to use
My aircon had been non-functioning for a while and costs to have it recharged locally were £60+, so I thought I'd give this kit a try and see if I could save a few pounds. It has worked perfectly, restoring the system to full function again. The Instructions are straightforward and detailed enough to take you through how to use the kit without any problems. Now that I have the hose and gauge I can buy leak stopper and recharge gas for around £20 each if I need to recharge the system again. Not good enough
Did not work well with my car as it did not maintain the full pressure. The sealer only repair plastic and rubber parts of the system, so if you have problem with the metal part, this not the right item for you.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Save yourself a lot of hassle
I had realised that my air conditioning was leaking and had it topped up every year which lasted about two to three weeks (about the same time as the British summer), my local garage that topped it up wasn't able to find the leak and as aircon isn't used that often I just left it for 3 years, then I bought this product and after 10 minutes it was fixed, brilliant. Good product.
Amazing Product, but it depends on:- 1. What you are going to use it for. (refilling your air conditioning from empty, or just topping up). 2.What type of car you have. 3. What pressure you air con works at. I found (on my 1.6 Petrol) 2007 Citroen Szara Picasso) it will get you air con going if it is completely empty. (assuming that you have no leaks on your system of course!). However, I found (on my Picasso) that for topping up the system (one you have initially used a can to pressurise the system and get it working) the cans do not have enough pressure in them to top the system up to keep it working. I found that once the pressure in the system reaches the pressure remaining in the top up can of gas, no more gas will go into your car's system - the pressure seems to equalise between the car's air con system, and the pressure remaining in the top up can. Consequently, you end up wasting perhaps 1/3rd of the can, and have to purchase another full can to enable you continue topping up the car's system. The same thing happens again when the can's pressure equalises with that of the car's air con system. I ended up taking my car to a garage and paying £70 to get the air con system topped up. It has worked perfectly since then. (the garage found only 400grms of gas in the system, and they put in 700grms!) They told me that the DIY cans of gas are OK for smaller cars where there is less grams of gas in their systems, but are no good for larger cars. That's about all I can say really. P.Edwards. Easy fix, has worked for a few weeks, hopefully will carry on working.
My N16 Almera's aircon failed, it was diagnosed as having a leak in the compressor (presumably the drive shaft seal). I used the universal top up and leak stopper kit. So far so good, it has been working for two weeks. There is some evidence of the stuff having got round the drive shaft seal and been flung around by the drive pulley, but this may have now stopped. Perhaps this is to be expected. It is too early to say it is a fix that lasts more than a few weeks, but hopefully it may. Stopped me from cooking on some long motorway trips. The kit itself was very easy to use, the low pressure aircon valve is very easy to access on the n16 Almera, and connecting the cans and filling the system was a doddle and took very little time or effort. The R134 refrigerant itself is non toxic, non flammable and does not harm the ozone layer, however it is being phased out as it is a green house gas ten times as deadly as methane (and 300 times worse that CO2). It could cause cold burns if mishandled, so wear goggles in case of mishap.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good stuff so far
My passat b7 aircon wouldn't last past 8 months, then 2 months. After going to the garage several times getting it top up and the garage saying there's no leaks. So easy to re gas your aircon
Im a 60 year onld grandma and i found i was able to easily regas the air con on my volvo. Fantastic product and by far much better value for money than any of the other brands I have checked out without cutting back on the quality. It stopped the leak and got the aircon working again. What have you got to lose?
I was told I had a leak somewhere behind my dashboard, this was after I've already forked out fo ar condenser and system recharge. I knew myself that it wasn't worth spending the money to strip the car to repair it. I thought I would give this a try, £50 is worth giving it a go, the system's knackered anyway so not much to lose. The process is straightforward enough, the hose could be a bit longer but it worked fine. So far so good, I've got cold air again. The weather hasn't been great so I've not been using it much so time will tell if it's managed to do a lasting repair. My car is a Vauxhall Astra, not a Ferrari as the product description says. Well worth the price.
We had our gas topped up by Halfords last year ( cost £50 )and within a month it had gradually got less cold until it just blew warm air as the gas had leaked out somewhere in the system. This has been a few weeks now and still blows cold as the day I did it. It's really easy to do, just connect the adapter and slowly open the tap to release the sealant then wait and do the same with gas and that's it. Quick and easy air con fix
This stuff really works. I recently bought a fairly odd car, which I believe had been stranding idle for a few months. Most of the refrigerant had leaked away, but there was still a very small amount of pressure in the system, though not enough for the compressor to run. I followed the very simple instructions supplied. In less than 20 minutes, I'm ready for summer. Air con also dries out the air, so it's just as important in damp weather, to demist the windscreen as in hot weather: is been plenty damp recently! Give it a go.
