Excellent trimmer and easy to use.
This is a very capable Hedge trimmer. The first time I used this was on the Leylandii trees in the rear of the garden. Its lightweight(ish) feature and ease of cutting is a great feature. It took me half the time to cut the hedge back with this nice piece of kit to the other hedge trimmers I own (petrol & battery). It also cuts larger branches with ease. Very good tool
A really nice tool of typical Makita quality. The variable speed is very useful as I have a young hedge to trim. The feature that allows the angle of cut to be altered is also very useful. Only one note of caution, the 2 batteries do make it quite heavy for an older person to use. This is not a criticism just an observation. Cut two hedge's that hadn't been done since last year,so quite long,about 25 feet in total.The makita flew through it effortlessly.My two fully charged batteries didn't run out,even after about 45mins.Don't know how long they'd run for as i put them back on charge.Really big,robust unit with long cutting blade,that cut through branches nearly as wide as your little finger no problem.Beware,this is a heavy duty cutter and people not used to Manuel labour might find it tough going.I would highly recommend this product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good hedge cutter
Cuts well, and reasonably light weight. Excellent if like me you have hedges miles from a power socket and don't want to always use a noisy petrol trimmer. Frankly don't see the point of the speed control, I can think of no reason for not running at maximum speed. The trimmer cuts well and the handle angle adjustment is quick and easy. With the two batteries the machine is a touch on the heavy side, but in all other respects it is excellent.
