The PS4 is its natural home
I first bought this game for PC, but only a couple of minutes into starting it I KNEW that I'd made an error. Yes the graphics are superior on the PC version (this is provable in side by side comparisons even with the PS4 Pro version) but every fibre of my senses told me the best control method was a PS4 controller for a game with this type of mechanics - and my god I was right. One of the timed jumps right near the start of the game is incredibly frustrating - it took me at least 25 attempts to get past it. But aside from that this game is beautiful to look at and the transitions between inside and outside are particularly impressive - with lighting effects used with incredible technical skill. Collision detection is also fairly impressive so far. This edition of course contains all the various skins etc they had as DLC although to be honest, DLC these days amounting to uninteresting things like skins for Lara, clothes and skins for guns, it's not going to add much to the game. There may be additional multiplayer stuff but I'm not interested in multiplayer or co-op. But luckily for single players like me there's a great big adventure to be had here.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not like original Tomb Raider
Although the graphics are amazing and it can be exciting to play I am not impressed with the way you have to combine items to create weapons and build skills. It seems very different too the other Tomb Raiders and that can make game play quite boring. I love Lara Croft
This game goes over my expectations, great graphic, awesome story. after finishing Tomb Raider (2013) I instantly bought this, definitely worth the money. the only thing i would complain about is the frame rate, the first tomb raider runs unlocked frame rate, but this one sadly runs locked 30 Fps, which is stable(PS4) it would be nice if there would be an option to unlock the framerate like on PS4 pro. nothing else to complain about. cant wait for the next game.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Really enjoyable, great sequel!
I completed Tomb Raider (2013) and really enjoyed it and was looking forward to this one. My expectations were absolutely right! The gameplay is similar to its prequel but with more upgraded features and more tombs to explore. A firm fan favourite
A great addition to the genre, Lara is as cute and flexible as ever. Could do with a few more and tougher enemies in the opening couple of hours, and the swim mechanic feels weird inasmuch as diving deep is no longer an option, but otherwise well designed with plenty of exploration, some nice puzzles and skill trees, the option to craft weapons and kit adds to the feeling of designable nuance, and I'm only 20% in. Also a good selection of new game modes and side-games (accessible from the main menu) that add variety. Would have liked to see some slightly better camera options for first person or aiming when shooting, which can complicate the sense of fluid motion in otherwise engaging gun battles. The crouch mechanic is automated which generally works pretty well, but occasionally you worry she's going to walk out in front of oncoming bullets. Running from cascading rock falls and collapsing tunnels are a personal highlight. These chase sequences just get better with each iteration. Landscapes and geographies are immersive and draw distances are impressive. I'm hoping to see some well populated cities later in the game, as well as some really deep puzzles.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great game.There are side quests, tombs, relics and lot's of things to do as well as to completing the main mission.
