It's a Shame.
A guitar, like many other things, is only as good as its weakest component. In this instance, the tuners are the weak feature on this Squier. It's a shame because just about everything else is of decent quality and good workmanship. The housing for the tuners is nothing but chrome coated plastic, with the gear and stem being the only exceptions. The post will not stay at a 90 degree angle to the gear, as it is designed to function. It looks good, plays well, and sounds great, but It's all for nought. I've given it 10 days of trial, but It will NOT stay in tune. I may keep it and install new tuning machines. Then it would be a great little bare-bones guitar, for the money!
