Brother printer workhorse
my customer needed a printer/scannner to replace an aging HP Color Inkjet. She didnt need color anymore as she made copies and printed text mostly. I knew that Brother printers were workhorses and changing to laser printing would save her in toner/ink costs in the long and short run. She loves the speediness of printing and being able to print from her iPhone, iPad, and Tablet. She also likes being able to have guests print to her printer if they want to without having to boot up a computer to do it. Printer nice but set up not so nice
Seems to be working fine after it took me forever to set up. My computer didn't recognize it, so since I'm not a computer expert, it took me quite a while to manually set it up. It needs to be simpler for us not so smart computer people. So for that part, not good. As for it working, so far, so good, but I've only printed a few labels and pictures. I always liked the rear feed printers because it seemed like the paper would crinkle or I'd have some kind of problems with these bottom feeds. So far the paper seems to be coming up and out just fine, but I'm holding my breath and hoping it keeps up. I print a lot of labels, so hopefully it'll be fine. Just wanted to leave a review and let people know that if you're not real computer savvy, it may take a while to get the printer set up with wireless. Good quality overall.
So far so great, …….only three weeks, I am technically challenged but it was still fairly easy to set up. A picture of the ink cartridge could’ve been a little more clear in order to show which way it goes in. I haven’t set up the scan mode yet so I don’t know how that will go. Solid Printer
This printer does an excellent job. The print is sharp and clear. And one really great feature, its ability to print 2 sided. An excellent way to save paper. Speaking of paper, the tray holds a lot, so you won't meed to fill it up every couple of days. I've only done a couple of copies so far, but the output was very good, and easy to read. There are many settings that can be adjusted when making a copy. I have my printer set for text, which seems to work well in general at showing both text and pictures. Should have got this ten yrs. ago.
Arrival time was great;shipped to Hawaii. Set up took awhile, needed to go online as I could not get the cd set up to work., also needed to go in connected devices on computer to help set up. Mind you I'm not computer savvy. Glad I switched to monochrome laser,as I almost never print color. Tired of changing color cartridges if not used. Another great Brother printer
I just bought this for a client, because her needs are modest. However, while only printing in B/W, this has color scanning, auto copying, duplex printing, and the quality is quite good all around. She's only had it for several weeks now, but I was the one to set it up and it had all the telltale signs of another great offering from Brother (which has been my turn to printing manufacturer for a while now). Great printer for the price
Setup was a snap, and the prints are clear. It photocopies well and the price was good. Replacement toner cartridges don't cost more than the printer, so that's a plus, and it is pretty fast. So far so good
A good machine but the key to these machines is “will they stay connected wirelessly?” So far so good. NOTE: I now have had the machine long enough - and it HAS stayed connected to my network. Great printer for the price
Prints nice and fast. Powers up quickly compared to others. Scanning quality is good, although not quite as good as a dedicated Canon flat-bed scanner, but for most things, just fine. Super printer, great price.
I needed a new printer with copier capabilities. This Brother laser printer works perfectly. It was super easy to install and I love that it is wireless. I can make copies from my cellphone.
