When applied correctly--- a little GEL goes a long way.
I found this product very easy to use on what was a very difficult job of removing several layers of accumulated paint on my old garage roof. It was easy to apply via a large paint brush and the coverage was good as the product is in a gel formulation.In cetain areas of the roof where the paint was adhering to the metal with some force, it was essential to apply several coates of the stripping gel in order to remove the stubborn paint.Overall I have been very pleased with the end result of what was a difficult task to undertake and would not hesitate to recommend Power strip to anyone contemplating the effective removal of paint from metals and wood.In closing ,I can confirm that I have not received any reward for this honest opinion of this product. Sadly NOT for me.
I bought this product because of the good reviews.Sadly however I was disappointed. I applied this "INDUSRIAL STENGTH" stripper genenously on an oil painted door frame and left it for 15 minutes. By then the stripper was dry and I had to reapply and wait for a furter 15 minutes. tThe second application was almost dry again with minimal effect on the paint. I was not prepared to waste any more time so I finished the job using a heat gun. In the evening I placed the brush that I applied the stripper which was soft by then in a glass jar adding some more stripper.The following morning to my surprise the brush was solid includind the paint sripper.All I can say is that if the reviews are accurate some batches of this stripper have a far lower content of the active ingredients.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does what it said.
Wasn't sure if this would work on the engine of my GPS 750 restoration as I had tried another brand and nothing. Put this stuff on and within 20 seconds it was working and brought the paint off a treat. See photos. I will be getting another tin to finish my restoration as it saves loads of time.

Similar to nitromors
This works fairly well, baring in mind i'm using it in the cold and my comparison is from my memory of Nitromors of 1984,I would say its similar to Nitromors in that it burns like Nitromors spilt on your hands etc. and took off the top cover within 20 minutes in the cold, but took I bit of scrubbing on the primer coat of an unknown paint, finished it off with a kitchen stainless scourer and hot soapy water and then sand blasted the awkward bits of a Lambretta front hub webbing. I will buy more as it goes quite quickly and would say this as near as you can get if not the same as the good old Nitromors from back in the day!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value, does work
This product does work,sadly not has fast has we all hope but saying that,if you are trying to remove built up layers of different paint types it is going to take several applications but for the price of 5l it is good value. I have used it on some old pine doors,which had 5 layers of different paints which I applied to the mouldings, within 15 minutes the first 2 layers could be removed, applied 2 more after that and now all removed, you don't need it for flat areas has that can be done quickly with a heat gun. A bit more information from suppliers would be helpful ie. What is required for neutralising??Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good product - would recommend it to anybody.
Very happy with product - after wasting money on a well known brand that used to be good (but isn't now) this did exactly what it should. It is excellent value for money because a) it works and b) you get a litre as opposed to 750ml that other brands seem to offer. 'If' anything - the only slightly bad thing is that I went through quite a bit of it to do what I needed, the first application took off the top coat(s) of paint quickly enough and the paint bubbled almost immediately, but I found that further applications were required. This could be down to many factors - how many layers of paint, type of paint etc so can't say that it was necesarily a problem with the product as overall it did what was required.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than a well known brand
Was looking for something that worked better than a well known brand that I used quite a lot years ago. To my dismay they changed the formula of that brand, that meant it worked no where like it used to. Great Stripper!
This is a stripper for all men. I'm tired of the claims made by DIY Stores & High St outlets about how efficient their paint Stripper is! The fact is that ever since Health & Safety butted into everything, products are all so safe now they just don't work, Evo-stik that doesn't, Weed Killer that's more like fertiliser & the perennial Nitromors paint-stripper that you can't buy now! I decided to try this product & give it a good fair test. It looked okay & smelled horrible enough to do the trick.
