Great value smart cam bought for outdoor use.
Had the Neos for a few months now. Bought an outdoor housing and extension USB lead for it and mounted it under a front window canopy for further weather protection (note that these are sold for indoor use only). Comes with IR night vision which works really well but picks up movement from 50m away which is no bad thing. Has quite a wide angle which detects movement and sound near my front door, drive and garden. Settings are adjustable to lower or increase sensitivity, all from the app on your phone. Other good features include Neos support and downtime / update notifications. A few minor points to note are as follows: Using a long extension lead and being outside away from router means the live feed lags by 30 secs and is slow motion, however recordings are fine and in real time. 12 second bursts are recorded but it takes 5 mins before recording again. Neos provide a boost package for a small monthly fee for longer recordings and other benefits. Night mode picks up wind noise and the IR picks up insect / cobweb movement so lense needs to be kept clean. Also, streetlights and car lights blind out footage so positioning is key. Can be mounted inside looking out through windows during day but IR reflects too much on window. Playback on phone can be glitchy but I find that clearing the notifications and previously used apps on the phone sorts this. Other than the above I think it's a great little camera, easily set up and excellent value for money.

Neos SmartCam Twin Pack | Security Camera, Works with Alexa 1080P Full HD 2 pack
FIrst of all, would like to say got the best value of a twin pack of these from a company on ebay, so delighted with that. Using the app, on android (not tried it on ios) and not available for a pc, but works great on android phones or tablets. Setting up is a cinch, simply plug into a mains supply (usb cable and adaptor supplied with about 10 feet of cable), enter you wifi passcode, and thats it. My app has about 8 cameras on it, various places where it absolutely cannot get wet (thats important), and I can watch from anywhere on the planet, it also records sound too. VArious settings allow SD snd HD (although HD is more like SD), and also you can allocate an area where movement can trigger the camera recording (12 seconds without a neos account and 60 seconds with a neos account). Overall, the cameras have provided great peace of mind, when away on holiday (if anyone can remember what a holiday is, that is). MOst of my cameras as on window ledges inside (so as not to get wet), and they are on wide mode, so can see a great view where needed). Small but mighty
Wasn't expecting much for the price but I love this. I bought it to record myself sleep (I have nightmare seizures) and the night vision is fantastic. I use a micro sd to record so it's not always connected to WiFi. The app is easy to use, it has motion sensor and you can talk through the camera (using the app) so it's great if using for pets. Just what I am looking for not too pricey WiFi camera
Bought two one for the front and rear. For first timer , setting up can be fiddly but make sure your battery is the maximum and WiFi connection is maximum. The camera captures motion and records motion only. The silux control app which you have to download if you want to see the camera footage live. If you aren’t bothered by it, the SD card will captures all the motions and stores it. Can’t pick and choose which video to delete on the silux control app. Once delete every video is deleted. But I’m sure you can pick and choose which to delete after you transfer the SD card to your computer. Looks sleek and water proof. The app is not as user friendly and can be a bit ‘clunky’. The video can records even not connected to WiFi. Drains battery quick if there is a lot of motion recording Overall I just think it works just fine for my short term property let. Many thanks

Excellent video quality for a "Bargain Basement" price!
I like these. They're cheap, but the quality of the video is excellent. The only improvements I'd make are a) I'd coat the bodies in a non-reflective matte black (because you're going to site them behind glass right?, b) I'd tweak the "Night Vision" capability so that they didn't "blow out" when pointed at white walls at night, and c) It would be great if you could actually turn the audio recording OFF ... permanently. Perfect for my needs
I bought this to keep an eye on my home and cat when away for a few days. For £30 I was very impressed with the quality. It does exactly what I need, good clear picture, night vision, easy-to-use app which sent me alerts when motion was detected and the 12 second recorded clips were a bonus. Good value, but limited
There are quite a few minor irritations: - Setup is difficult: I got to the point where ithe camera had to read a QR code from my phone. It ignored it, all the while shouting 'awaiting setup' There is no alternative setup method, so I was looking for the packaging to return it when, after about 20 minutes, it suddenly relented and decided to read the code. - No Windows support, so the only way to view footage on a PC is to use an SD card. - Once the SD card is inserted it writes continually to the card. I was hoping to be able to control it by arming and disarming the camera, but that is only for web storage. - The position of the SD card on the underside of the camera is stupid. It means to view footage you have to pick up the camera, remove the card, and then try and replace the camera in exactly the same position. The SD slot should be on the back, top, side, anywhere except underneath! If you can put up with these niggles it's quite a neat compact little camera with decent picture quality. It's excellent value for money, especially if you only use it with a phone, but I'd be prepared to pay a little more for something with more flexible options.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
