Genuine versis cheaper
I bought both types. Genuine has keys much softer while cheaper one at half price has firmer keys. Both types do the job well. In the past 2 of the cheaper ones went faulty quickly. The led instead of blinking once in response to a button being pressed would keep on oscillating. This is when it has gone faulty. Never had this problem with the genuine one. So in short, it a matter of choice of one cheap one with shorter life span or genuine one with possible longer life. In one incident the volume buttons of the genuine one became such that the unit had to be opened for a pcb clean up to restore it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap but fully functioning
Pros - cheap and fully functionable. Cons - cheaply made. Kept dropping it as slippery to hold due to no grip on back of unit like the original. Not really suitable therefore for people with arthritis in hands. Photo would not upload so - where the original has a soft grip cover on the removable battery cover this does not and is simply the same shiny plastic as the rest of the unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Genuine quality remote
This product genuinely surpassed all of my expectations. That's not to say that I expected it to be inferior - the seller made it very clear that it was a quality item, but when paying considerably less than the usual price, it's easy to assume that you aren't going to get the quality you would get by paying top price. Not so - the handset is new condition. All buttons are very responsive - the slightest touch and they are active. The range is excellent (I've bought other handsets where I quite literally have to stand next to the Sky box or TV to get them to work.) and it was supplied with batteries. Perfect replacement but batteries cheap and not as illustrated

Replacement sky remote
Remote is a value for money item. For the price you can't really complain. Although buttons are stiffer than the original sky remote the device works perfectly well. Once programmed with the correct TVs code, the TVs volume and power on off features work too. Nice item at a good price

Excellent replacement sky handset.
Needing a replacement sky handset for our tatty old one, I looked on eBay. Many sellers had similar handsets, but non at such a keen price combined with absolute quality. Handset arrived within 2 days and worked (with the included batteries) straightaway, Simple instructions included.
