HDHomerun is a great way to cut cable and get OTA TV
The SiliconDust HDHomerun Dual is a great way to cut cable and get over-the-air (OTA) TV. I'm on my second HDHomerun device, it's just that good once you have it up and going. PROs: 1) OTA TV available via HDHomerun app on all my detwork devices 2) Program Guide for all my local stations, and has been 99% accurate so far. 3) Android TV compatible (with a little PC help) CONs: 1) Had to use my PC to configure HDHomerun device and set it up 2) Only 2 devices at a time can watch a TV show 3) Price is a little higher than expected...for only 2 devices and requiring PC to setup Would I buy again? Yes - and I DID! Would I recommend you buying it? Not fully sure, that is conditional on your PC availability and you being comfortable with the rather round-about process of setting it up. HDHomeRun Easy to Setup
HDHomeRun is easy to setup easy to use and fun to use as well. I am going to let anyone and everyone know one thing about this product that I didn't know when I bought it. I didn't know that you needed to hook it up to your computer by plugging in the Ethernet cable from your HDHomeRun Extend Box and plugging the other end of your Ethernet cable into your computer's Ethernet Port. I found that out by reading up on how to connect this. Well now that I have it connected I am sure glad I bought it, because I am in Love with it. Powerful and simple TV tunner
It is very simple to set up, just plug it to your network through the ethernet cable, plug the power cable and the antenna and there you go, you can use SiliconDust's application if you want but I went with a different set up: I am using it with PLEX media server (w/PLEX Pass) on a Synology DS218+ NAS and it has been working great, I can watch TV in any of my devices with the PLEX App installed, I recorded some soccer games while I was away from home.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

don't know if its doing its job or not
it easy to set up by itself but with plex is another story would be nice if there were a guide somewhere explaining what settings you may want to change so this can do the transcodeing and maybe plex wouldn't keep buffering every 10 seconds (which is why I bought this in the first placeVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
