High quality multi tool
Great multi tool in a compact package. Blades slide out and lock easily, and all the interior tools slide out without breaking finger nails. Blades are sharp out of the box, Some slight shearing when cutting wire but not too concerned as they still work well and have replaceable cutters. This tool is well built in the USA. Leatherman has been doing this a long time and they really have it down with the build and design. The size is great for riding a belt or even in a pocket. OK except for design failures.
Leatherman tried to pack too many functions into one multitool. They gave away strength in the pliers to add replaceable wire cutting blades. They added a bit holder that only takes custom Leatherman flat bits that break instead of standard 1/4" bits. The rest of the tools are OK. The main cutting blades are wider than the original Wave. Best of all the Leatherman multi-tools, hands down.
The WAVE + is Amazon's top selling multi-tool. The lighter weight WAVE + handles most all of the jobs. Some will purchase more than one type of Leatherman to try and get all the tools they want in 2-3 multi-tools which is a great marketing ploy for Leatherman. My favorite Multi-Tool, but...
This is the most useful Multi-Tool that I've ever owned. I love it and with a pocket clip, I carry it daily. That being said, it's lost the simplicity of the original leatherman and I kind of miss that. If the Rebar had a pocket clip and bit changer, I'd prefer it. I've had a few little problems with the Wave +. The serrated blade became very hard to open and the saw blade wanted to open with it. The saw blade was also hitting the metal lanyard hole which I don't have pulled out to use. (many probably never notice that lanyard hole is on the wave.) I oiled the tool, but that didn't help. After opening and closing the serrated and saw blades several times, it suddenly loosed back up. Its done this twice. Another thing, the pliers got stuck tightly on something in the handles when I was closing it once. These issues just didn't happen with the older more simple Leathermans. I'm kind of looking forward to trying the new (April 2019) Leatherman Free P4. If I can can afford it at $140.00! It's locks closed magnetically...even the blades...everything can be easily opened with one hand.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Best multi tool on the market!
Leatherman multi tools are the best that money can buy. Hands-down, the wave is in itself an amazing tool with every convenience and ease-of-use possible. Once you have this gem in your possession and on your person every day, there won’t be a day you won’t have to use it or want to use it for something. Perfect tool for everyday use for anyone
This is an amazing tool. I've been more of a swiss army knife kind of guy, so I never considered the leatherman. But with my new edc bag, I decided to get the wave plus. THE WAVE PLUS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I'm not a carpenter, or mechanic. I work in an office. But, this alone has helped me out. Just on the 1st day I got it, this is what I used it for: 1) FIXED MY BROTHER'S COAT ZIPPER with the pliers 2) CUT BOXES OPEN (the knife is sharp) 3) Cut some thick branches from my mom's rose garden with the saw 4) Opened a can of tuna with the can/bottle opener 5) Opened a bottle of beer with the can/bottle opener 6) Cut both thin and thick, wrapped stainless steal wire for my vape atomizer (with the replaceable wire cutters which really cut wires good) 6) Cut cotton for my vape atomizer 7) Used the small tips on the pliers as tweezers to place the cotton in my vape atomizer 8) Used the thick flat head screw driver as a prybar to open somthing 9) Used the replaceable bit w both phillips and flat to screw some screws 10) USED THE PLIERS AS A POT GRABBER for my Instapot pot in pot dish!!!! 11) Used the ruler on the leatherman to measure the height of my bed (get a string and place from the bottom to the top and measure the string length) The case is great, if you use a belt. I needed to get a molle case so i could place it on my bag. I can only imagine if i was a mechanic and worked with tools on a daily basis. But if you need a tool to carry for you for your everyday things, or in an emergency or a survival situation, this is mandatory!

Great Leatherman quality you would and should expect. The supplied ballistic nylon belt sheath is good to go too. I work in harsh environs and I'm very demanding of my gear. It's holding up very well. My only complaint is, the scissors are a little too wimpy. I compare them to my Gerber Multiplier scissors and the Gerber blows them away. I can cut thin metal with the scissors on the Gerber, not so with the Leatherman. Aside from that, great took.
