Good smoothie maker
This is good for making my morning protein shakes and blending a "whole food type juice. I have to use the largest container, though, because I usually put in a frozen or fresh banana and blueberries with some greens. barely working
When I received it and unpackaged it, I found that the base tabs that hold the top in were broken off. It worked properly for a couple days, but then I had to constantly move the top around to get the motor to work. I have had this blender for about 2 weeks and it is more of a pain to use than it is worth. Ignore all the complaints about it making too much noise. It is a high quality product that make perfect smoothies every time in a few seconds. Pulse it a couple times and you're done. It has a high pitched wine similar to a vacuum cleaner but not as loud. The sound is not loud or annoying like everyone complains about in their reviews. It is the sound of a high quality, powerful blender. I used a cheap one for 4 years that my wife got on sale on Black Friday. The cheap blender made the same amount of noise as this one, but it didn't blend nearly as good, and I still had chunks of bananas in my smoothie after it was done blending. Easy to us - Fantastic smoothie maker!
I was so happy when I saw my Ninja. It was exactly what I have been looking for. I have been using it almost every day to make my smoothies, and it's a breeze. It's also so very easy to clean- just take the blade off and run it under hot water and lay on a towel to dry. Tritan is the best!
I love this size and the fact that it has a wide base so that you can swish around your shake when you're finished blending. Its also way easier to clean because of the shape. I use it every day and another new use...it will make the smoothest hummus you've ever had as long as you warm the garbanzos first and make a double batch (two cans). What a powerhouse that packs a hard punch!
I guess I've never owned such a powerful "blender" before. This really blew me away at the muscle it can throw at anything. It nearly vaporizes big chunks of Ice within seconds. If anything has a drop ful of juice this Ninja is going to find it. I couldn't be happier and with a discounted price to boot. Luckily it appears brand new and behaves that way too. I often seem to get burned on refurbished or "barely used" purchases but if you hit one great like this one it makes the others worth while. Not a lot of bells and whistles mind you but that is the beauty here. Very solid construction with a main 20+ounce glass and another one slightly smaller like 18 ounces. I could be wrong on those numbers. I'm giving an eyeball assessment of the sizes. Thick plexiglass and a spill proof lid to boot. Just one speed but what else do you need? I love this little blender!!!
I used to have a 20 yr old blender for making smoothies. It was still in good shape, but since I've added greens to my smoothies in the past year, I was bothered that my old blender wouldn't liquify the greens completely. Great product that does the juicing job!
Was so excited to get this online at a discount as these can be a bit pricey in stores. The blender is absolutely everything is claims to be and then some. We've been using our blender to make morning smoothies and it took 5-10 minutes to get everything chopped up and smooth. With the Ninja, you put everything in and in 20 seconds you have have a great, smooth drink that really does taste a bit different. Materials that came with the product claim that it's the extraction process. It's not a dramatic difference but is noticeable. And no more clumps or un-chopped fruit like we had in our blender. One of my favorite features is the vessel that attaches to the blender. You can drink right from it when you're done or pour it into one of the two to-go drink containers.
