Quality Thermostat with great looks and features.
I bought the nest to replace a Salos WiFi thermostat. With the help of YouTube I found it pretty straight forward to fit. It's easy to set up and schedule and having the ability to control your heating when your away from home is definitely a plus. I'd looked at the product for a while and there are some good deals out there. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Nest. Great but has some quirks.
Smart looking device. Hot water setup very easy. Central heating, unable to setup direct and have to use the devices settings at first and then edit to personalise. A device like this should enable personal setting from the start. The App is a dream in being able to control locally and remotely. The display shows the target temperature in bold and the current temperature in the background. Personally I feel this should be the other way around.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

great thermostat
this is a great thermostat i installed it myself on a standard heating system it was tricky to install i recommend that if you do not feel confident then its best to have it installed by a heating technician but once installed its brilliant easy to set up it controls both the heating and hot water i can also control it when i am not at home on my mobile phone with an easy to install app with this i can change schedules temperature (heating) and switch heating and hot water on or off. it also looks really cool as you enter the room where it is it wakes up and shows the set temperature as you get nearer a speedo dial also displays the actual temperature. its not a cheap stat though it will cost over 200 pounds with installation but i think in the long run it will save money as it controls the system better than a standard timer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Boost heating for a set time
The unit looks good and is well made. Integration with Alexa was easy although it would be nice to have a number of names you could call it like "thermostat", "heating", and "room heating" etc so they could all be correctly picked up by Alexa when controlling through voice commands. My biggest annoyance is that you can't just quickly 'boost' the heating for a set time if having guests over or just want the house to be warmer for an hour in the evening without the worry of having it left on high all night. Yes you can add a 2am schedule to protect from this but my 10 year old Danfoss LCD controller had this option, Alas the state of the art Nest thermostat does not have this feature which could easily be programmed in even a button on the App would do!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Amazing product but incomplete
The thermostat is fantastic, it’s of good quality, very easy to install and set up The software has great functionality and is very easy to navigate My only disappointment was finding that they don’t include any accessories to power the thermostat and during the middle of the installation I was scouring the house trying to find a spare usb charger and micro usb cable Personally I find this a bit miserable of them which is only reason I’m not giving 5 starsVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nest thermostat
Was a bit dubious about getting the Nest thermostat, thinking it was expensive way to control the heating. Nice thermostat and quite simple installation but no power cable or adapter included.
Nice thermostat, managed to get it installed and working without any dramas. Quality feels really nice and looks good too. Be aware that this version did not come wit a power cable or adapter (micro USB) for the control unit like some do. Luckily I had spares from old phones etc. It can be powered off the unit wired to the boiler instead but would need to run a new wire from boiler to controller. Works fine.
Went from a faulty gen 2 to this gen 3 Nest thermostat. Works fine so far. Longer distance movement sensor and better display compared to the old one are big plus points. I do not use the learning function and have a simple heating schedule that is easy to set up on my phone and chromebook. Temperature accuracy is within 0.5 C of a digital thermometer set up in the same position in my hall.
