Does what it says on the tin
You get what you pay for and with this lower-valued model it's not all singing and dancing but definitely does what you would expect. The image quality of the 3D blu-rays is excellent, but don't lose your remote as literally the only buttons on the front of the player are an on/off button and an eject button. Decent 3D Blu Ray Player
Decent 3D blu ray player, a couple of things let it down though, hence the 3 stars. Nice and compact, easy to set up, good wireless connection, good picture as you would expect but... I bought this for the kids play room and it has this very annoying power save feature that you can't edit. This means when you pause the dvd/blu ray for meal times expecting to be able to go back to it after the meal it has powered off. This wouldn't be so bad if it allowed you to resume where you left off when you power back up again but it doesn't. This means you spend the next 10 minutes going through all the dvd/blu ray menus again then trying to find where you had got up to. The next thing that lets it down is the 'Smart' aspect of it. It uses Opera Apps as it's app store rather than the far superior Samsung Apps store. For what reason I have no idea but this does limit the apps that can be downloaded. No Plex for instance. You can get the usual Netflix, Amazon Prime (I think) and Youtube etc but I had to update the the system to get BBC iPlayer and even updating and downloading it, it then told me it was incompatible with the player... not so good. The main reason I wanted a 'Smart' blu ray player was so that I could use the likes of BBC iPlayer and Plex with my non Smart TV. If you purely want a 3D blu ray player and are not interested in the features (and are not in the habit of pausing for too long) this will a good buy otherwise look elsewhere (BD-H6500 is a better model).Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
