Superb Product.
I have been using the Now TV app on my tv for a few weeks and even though it worked we found it very slow and unreliable so I went ahead and purchased the Now Tv 4K box thinking it had to be better than the app. How right we were. This box is simply superb in every way. It is extremely fast, the picture quality is incredible ( we use boost) and the remote control works flawlessly. Quite simply, if you have an inbuilt app and it is sluggish then this box is for you. As for setting up it really is simple. You get a choice of quality settings and we stream on 1080p with no sign of buffering. As for the 4K side of things, our LG Oled is an early model without 4K but in time it will be replaced with a 4K model so future proofing I guess. We also love the “ my tv “ as it stores all the things you choose to save to it at the simple press of a button and the remote control has buttons for TV guide, My TV, Sky Store and Kids and also a Home button which takes you back to the home page with one press.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Useful alternative to a long term Sky box contract. Cancel every now and then...
Clearly better picture quality yet I can't ignore the fact that it doesn't offer us Freeview channels like the previous model does. THe free passes didn't get accepted till I contacted NOW TV and got a different way for these to work for me. So buying via eBay didn't turn out to be user-friendly after all. It may be that if we buy through the major companies like Argos that we get a better response to these passes being accepted. So if any codes don't work, it doesn't always make sense to complain to the eBay seller about that. Just because an eBay image looks like selling a brand new item, the NOW TV boxes have the year of make on the packaging to confirm if the passes are stil valid. Mine were, yet they still didn't work. so NOW TV were helping out by providing alternative pass voucher codes that did work. The 4K option can be tested with various YouTube videos on our 4K HD TVs and Smart TVs. Smart TVs may already have the YouTube access as well as NOW TV and Netflix, yet having the 4K NOW TV box is still worthwhile for more than just the 4K option. For other TVs at home, I'd use the Freeview NOW TV box instead. That tunes in Freeview channels using a separate TV aerial input that the 4K box doesn't provide. As for NOW TV, cancel a subscription if starting a free trial or some extended offer later on. The subscription remains active till the cancellation date takes effect when the subscription period ends. Even so, subscribe to get NOW TV offers and maybe you'll get extra discount deals later or even a 12-month deal. Useful for families, but now with the extra subscription for the KIDS channels increasing our costs. So shop around and enjoy all you can when the price is right. If it's not through eBay then try online searches for up-to-date NOW TV discounts as well as their website. If just buying a NOW TV box without any valid passes, you can still make savings there and that's the way we may be able to afford not just a 4K HD TV but a Smart 4K HD TV with the extra apps including NOW TV. Excellent product at an excellent price!
I say it was easy to set up, it was with the help of my son who is more tech savvy than I am. It's easy to use and the performance is good. The price was really good off eBay (cheaper than Amazon). Remember however to ensure you cancel any of the packages you don't want otherwise it will automatically charge you every month. Better then ever
This is upgrade for me I bought a 4khd so I went for the new 4K now tv box very impressed miles better from the old now tv devise. Better remote controller loving the voice control takes me to what I’m after with no repeating myself. Better than the original remote the old one at to physically point to device and keep it still to change channels and roam i suffer with my nerves so was’nt great. It also came with 1 month free entertainment and movie pk it was not just for new customers old customers got the free month as well. Great TV Box
I have a Now TV subscription and have been accessing via my laptop and "plugging" into the TV with a HDMI cable. To cut out this faffing around I bought this Now TV box and its great. Connecting and syncing to my account was dead easy (you need your phone/tablet handy for this) and it works great. I connected to the internet via ethernet cable rather than wifi and the picture is very good. Wish I'd switched earlier
I bought this so that I could cancel my tv licence and legally watch tv with out one. I wasn't watching live tv, barely recording any and watching YouTube or dvds over 99% of the time. This year the BBC's overt bias, their obscene salaries coupled with taking away free licence from over 75's, some of whom will only have the state pension, finally became more than I could stomach. My Freesat box, by going straight to live tv, counted as watching live tv so I, reviewed the streaming services, found Now tv to suit my needs best and got rid of the satellite box. There's so much available just on the 'Entertainment' channel, I wish I'd switched at least a year ago.
