Poor Design
The stop is basically a bolt with a protective plastic jacket that is bolted through the mount. The mount isn't excessively thick. The amount of force caused by the weight of the cover bends the stop/mount. I have already re-enforced the mount with washers to try and strengthen it. The only way this lift will work is if you are very carful with it. I don't expect it to last long. When this one breaks I will purchase a different design.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Custom Cover

Great 'much needed' part to help with the daily lifting and storage of my spa top!
The only bad thing I have to say is putting the damn thing together was difficult. The black heavy metal main part of the hinge device where the bolts had to be installed fought me and was troubling to say the least....you should consider pre-building that part and letting the customer add the poles. Good product.
Product required a little ingenuity to install, wasn’t a perfect fit, but tub has rounded edges. After a few attempts got it basically square. Works well. Only complaint is that Screw holes where frame connects have left small rust stains on my brand new cover, that’s really the only reason I didn’t give this product 5 stars. Hot tub lift
It was difficult to put together. Additional washers were required to keep the lift and stop posts secure. The instructions were very difficult to read and understand even after calling the assistant number.
