Decent for what it is
I used this tremolo to replace the one I had on an LTD kh202. I have guitars with original and 1000 series Floyd roses and there is a huge difference. That doesn't mean that the special is bad. I personally use it as a hardtail so I don't do dive bombs or flutters on it. The special can handle dives bombs but your guitar is likely to go out of tune soon. Overall, the most important thing is that it stays in tune and if you know how to properly set one up, you shouldn't have many issues.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Suspect mine is a counterfeit
Believe the one I received is a counterfeit. Too many things seem off. For example, the Floyd Logo is not stamped but rather etched in, and the logo also not parallel with the edge, The finer tuner screws are chrome and not black like I've seen on each and every other Floyd Rose tremolo. While I'm talking about the finer tuners, mine are very hard to turn. The saddles have a ton of side to side movement and are rather sloppy at the pivot points. As a economy tremolo it's alright and does the job, but I find it difficult to believe this was actually made by Floyd Rose, the overall quality is just not there.
