Shelter Tent Auto Garage 10 by 20

I would have given this a 5-Star rating, but it is a difficult tent to put up. First there are two size bolts one is only a 1/4 inch longer, but they are all packed together. So separating the long bolts from the short ones was time consuming, but necessary. Again all the poles are packed together, that wasn't too bad until I found that one pole was missing. I was able to make a replacement made of schedule 40 PVC pipe. I did have an extra pole but not the right size. putting this tent up is a two person job, and I had professional help, but it still tooks us all day to build the tent. It is okay for my Colorado Truck, but the Mercedes really needs a 12 foot wide tent, so I am glad this is only a Temporary Shelter for the car. Now if you have read this I am only cautiously recommending this Shelter Tent Auto.. Sincerely R. T.

    Not tough for Upstate NY

This unit has a very thin wall tubular frame construction. Couple that with minimal upright and horizontal sections, it leaves a lot to be desired for rigidity and support. The distance between supports not only posses frame durability issues but also leaves large areas of the tarp free hanging without support. This is especially a problem on the roof areas. Considering the material used for the tarp covering is rather thin these overly large sections of tarp spanning between the frame will not hold much of a snow load before tearing. This would be a much better unit if an upright and roof support would have been added in between each of the existing designs uprights. That doubled up frame would be stronger and eliminate the grossly large areas of the tarp left unsupported. In addition include a tad bit thicker tarp material. All those additions would not add much to the cost and certainly be much cheaper than the "snow load" models costing $1800+. Those improvements would make it worth the buy. But as it sits right now...dont bother!

  • Shelter Logic

The color in the picture is a light tan and not brown as shown, the material of the canvas is very light and will have to see how it stands up to the South Carolina weather, used as a storage shed, could use vents in each end to keep down moister. needs door weight kits to keep door from blowing around so much. very lightly built in comparison to my 14'x 32 shelter logic that I had in New Hampshire,

  • I like it so far

Survived 2 summers and one winter so far. Just beginning our 2nd winter use. I did pull the sides down pretty tight so one top corner (over curved support tube) is starting to pull apart but I taped it up well with white duct tape and it is holding well so far. We'll see what this winter does to it.

  • Just okay

Some numbers were smeared on the parts making assembly a little difficult. Also the cover doesn't fit properly and it cheaply made. Kind of disappointed and will have to buy more tarps to cover it.

  • Shelter logic

Seems to be a well made product. It took a while to set up and survived two storms so far. We will see how long it lasts that is the real test
