Essential tool for joinery work on a budget; cannot fault it for the price
A speed square is one of those "how did I ever get by without one" tools. I made heavy use of it to build an outdoor timber pullup frame and it quickly proved to be absolutely indispensable. Yes it makes marking up cuts fast, easy and foolproof but I found it even more useful when paired with a stout G-clamp - to create a guide to ensure straight cuts with my circular saw. I'm sure that more expensive models will be finished to a higher standard but this budget version was perfectly fine for me.
