Nice Quality Replacement Spouts
It took a little while for me to settle on buying these. I really needed the spouts but was trying to get the biggest bang for my buck so I shopped around and weighed my options. Considering what a brand new can costs these days, I decided it would probably be worth it in the long run to purchase these spouts as the WEDCO cans are still in great shape. I've only owned these new spouts for a couple weeks so far but they fit very well and appear to be of very solid construction. My original (WEDCO) spouts broke after only a few years but the cans have remained in great shape despite being over 20 years old. The fact that the cans were kept inside my dry basement all the time and not abused (I never over-flexed the spouts) has me hoping that I get a bit more out of these new spouts. I have 5 gallon Rubbermaid gas cans I've owned for nearly 25 years and they have way more "miles" on them than the WEDCO cansspouts. The Rubbermaid cans are used extensively all year round and still have the original spouts in excellent condition so I must have done something right with them. Only time will tell but if these hold up as good as the old Rubbermaid's have I'll consider them a solid purchase. Fingers crossed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

With my 5 gallon cans the kit worked with no leakage on 5 gallon refill
I had to use my old cap with the spout as the threads were different however the new spout sealed well and does not spill. The spout will hold a bend as least long enough to provide a refill, I'm hoping the material will eventually hold a permanent bend and not crack it's not practical to hold a 5 gallon can and bend a flexible spout to the gas tank. If you have an older gas can with the easy to use convenient pour spout that eventually goes bad and you know how aggravating the new gas can are, that some safety board mandated spout changes on, and you'd like to keep your easy to use old gas can due to a pour spout cracking, then this is a perfect replacement spout. Looks and works exactly like your original older wonderful pour spout. Exact Replacement
I lost my previous gas can nozzle while looking for a cork to plug the end. The local replacements did not have a large enough diameter to seal under the thread on cap plus it had the EPA mandated interlock to seal the nozzle in case you drop the whole thing on the ground. This nozzle has a 1.650+/- dia that easily seals the can and doesn't leak when pouring. It also has a thread on cap which is not likely to come loose and get lost.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Used these for 20 years.
This is the old design which works well, but the plastic cracks after 2-3 years. I use these in gasoline and diesel cans. I recently tried to buy replacements locally and was told that they had been replaced by a "safer" version. My experience with the new style was that it was difficult to manage getting the fuel to flow thru it, it leaked diesel fuel all over the place and it literally fell apart. Fit my GOTT gas cans
These spouts are a perfect fit for my old GOTT gas cans. Both 5 gal. & 2/14 gal. cans. The only thing is the rings on the straps to hold the vent caps snapped or split putting them on. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing. The rings on my old vent caps didn't split, but the straps broke letting the vent cap fall off when you unscrewed it. If the rings don't break any place else, the splitting could be a good thing keeping the rings from binding and breaking the straps. I said they weren't a good value, only because the spouts cost as much or more than I paid for the original cans. They're still better and cheaper than what the new and horribly designed gas cans cost nowadays.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

New Life to an Old Gas Can

Quality
Good solid product and doesn't leak. I spent the extra money on this compared to other similar products due to the fact it was made in the USA. I have installed and used two of the new necks on a BLITZ one gallon can and a GOTT 2.5 gallon can. Both worked well with no leakage after tightening them down real tight.
