These book ends are great, and the base has a small hole as well, if you wanted to screw it into a shelf for even more security. Arrived damaged, paint chipped off on the bends.

Good product. Simple design, good function.
Not the cheapest metal book end, but the cleanest design without any odd cutouts and folded flaps. They will not wear out so don't mind the extra pound or two cost over the competition. I now have a very stable row of books including large cooking books. Note to the supplier, perhaps offer these book ends in other colours. I for one would like to see lime green, white, orange, dreadnought grey for the contemporary home or office environment.
