Fixed lagging Sky wifi, boys are happy no more internet issues.

Best piece of kit to resolve lagging internet through a Sky fibre WIFI connection. Didn't think my Sky modem was the issue phoned Sky and adviser told me to buy a new modem as thereS are sub standard? Checked out new modems £150 ? the plug in extender £18 ? Gave it a try and I am well impressed. Done a speed test using my mobile phone before and after 1.5 mb/sec to an impressive 22mb/sec the boys have 12 devices that use wifi. They would allways complain about the poor internet connection through WIFI ? No more problems and a saving off £130 perfect thanks again .

    Unsure

I am not sure how good it is as where I have positioned it, it seems to make little difference. I am also using another computer WiFi adapter which works well without this device

  • Simplest way to get Wi-Fi throughout the home

Cheap and very easy to set up... just plug, press the button and play. Make sure that you select a plug socket that has a decent STRONG signal from your existing router as this is what will give you the extended range that you require. Experiment with different locations before deciding which is the best. You can look at the Wi-Fi signal strength on your mobile before buying to give you an idea for locations. I placed mine on the upstairs landing. Once it's set up you can configure your phones to pick up the strongest Wi-Fi signal automatically if connecting through your mobile. If you don't get the required signal strength then you'll have to go for a physically wired option from your router or possibly use your hard wired home electrical circuits and these are slightly more difficult to configure. I've used an external Cat5 protected cable from my router to provide coverage in the garden from the gym at the bottom of the garden but using a more expensive wireless access point rather than this type of plug in extender.

  • A First Class Product.

This is a brilliant product. I bought it in order to get WiFi in my detached garage which our router falls short of. I now have full strength signal everywhere in the garage, even with the steel door closed. But it’s way better than that... Far end of the (fairly large) rear garden... Full signal... And because the extender can be plugged in anywhere there’s a mains socket it can be placed to give better coverage all over the house. At this price level, I’m amazed and delighted. Some web reviews compare this model with other brands and mark it down slightly, but they don’t mention that the competitors, which are only a bit better, cost two or three times as much!

  • A great little gadget that really works

I had bought a Nest outdoor camera to cover the driveway but it kept going offline as my wi fi signal wasn't strong enough... Plugged the TP Link in and downloaded the app.... Used the WPS button and it now works fine.. Easy to use and set up and a good quality product...

  • Does the trick

Absolute internet dead zone in one of my back rooms and this has certainly helped. However, I had issues trying to set it up, and that was following the App guide. Even my tech-head pal had issues, however, she opted for a last minute thought. The Extender has a button, with I assume the logo on it, where the led lights are to go round. Push it. And all the leds light up! Then, push the WPS button on your router. Bingo! Not saying that will work for everyone, but worth a try. And the dead zone now has internet 👍

  • Good device easy to set up once you find the simple way to do it

There were all kinds of complicated instructions given if how to set it up. I tried several and got lost. I eventually found a simple method which worked fine: press the search button on the router, press the reset button on the router then log in with the router password

  • Good product. easy set, does what it says on the tin

I needed this to extended the wifi to the smart Ring doorbell. I live on the first floor with the router in the middle of a 1 bedroom flat and the doorbell on the ground floor where there was little to no signal. no issues now.

  • very good increased signal

It is good but to get it to connect to your router you do have to access their website and put in a very long password code I think it is about 30 digits/letters this is not hard just follow the supplied instructions. ps tip. take a photo of the password as soon as you see it they work well our router is downstairs I have plugged this into the upstairs landing socket and now the upstairs signal is much better
