Type: 14cm Case Fan. Equipped with a counter-pull magnet that reduces the axial tension on the bearing. The customized design of the Dynamic Series fans contributes to a beautiful, cool build. Strategically placed notches near the fan hub on the trailing edge of the blades help to eliminate the humming noise produced when the blades pass stator struts.
These are the stock fans in the Define series cases and as such are geared towards quiet operation while still flowing a decent amount of air.
They work too, or at least on the noise level being practically silent on the low setting in my Define R5 and still bloody quiet at full.
You don't get something for nothing and airflow is not on par with the Noctua NF-A14's I have but I cannot get anywhere near the super quiet operation of the GP-14 with the Noc's using PWM on my MSI motherboard.
Speaking of PWM, the GP-14 doesn't support it which is a little disappointing.
One last point to mention is one of the OEM fans in my R5 has packed in after a year, the other is still going strong. Sometimes these things happen but I I'll be keeping an eye on longevity.
