Cheap yet punch well above their weight
I've tried cheap strings before and they were rubbish. They either broke instantly, would't stay in tune or went rusty in minutes. These, on the other hand, are cheap yet reliable, feel great and don't stretch like elastic. As the top E breaks a lot when I'm setting up action and intonation and neck angles, the string gets wound to tension, then slackened, then wound and slackened so many times it's hardly surprising they break. As such, I've needed replacement strings just for setting up with the intention of binning them as soon as it's done and restringing with a decent set of name brand strings. Thing is, with these, I've actually left the strings on as they are good strings. Longevity is, I'm sure, a compromise to some extent, but there's plenty of life in them before they will need to be changed. No complaints whatsoever and for the price, a set of replacement spare top e's is worth having just in case.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

For acoustic guitars only, very quiet on electric guitars

Just the thing.
Bought these as gig bag spares. I got these on a whim as an alternative to breaking into a new pack to replace a broken string. Time will tell how well they perform over a longer period, but as cheap, quick spares I can't fault them. Don't know how the wound ones would fare, but as quick spares they're perfect. Good quality and great value guitar strings
I bought these directly from Tone Deaf Music as the first string is always the one most likely to break (as well as some second strings as well). Good quality and value and works out cheaper than buying full sets for the sake of a single string. Economical fix for a broken string.

Great Value of money
This is a piece of happiness for any guitarist. Normally E1 is the only string which breaks and to get it fixed I bought many time the sets of string and changed other string which was not even required. Don't bother
Ball ends are too small for fitting on guitars with a Bigsby on. Won't go over the spike. Snap really easily. They look exactly the same as the Alice ones knocking about. Not worth it. Look for individuals of the mainstream makes (rotosound, etc) - these are shyte. OK I suppose for testing out builds, but I wouldn't gig or rehearse with them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

first string broke after an hour. It did not stand up to aggressive string bending. break was in middle of string (not at nut or bridge). maybe at a rough fret? replaced string and avoided full bends with vibrato. fine after 2 hours.
