If fitting over a 1 gang single box the socket will end up 123mm left of the left hand existing box screw and 80mm to the right of the right hand side existing box screw. If fitting over a 2 gang box it will end up 64 mm to the left and 80mm to the right of the respective existing socket box screws.

Perfect interim solution to having a lack of sockets in a room. Easily installed and neat professional-looking finish. Good idea, quality needs improving
Product woul be good if it was made to a higher standard. The problem is te wire clamping screws whih screw onto the wire at an angle meaning that they dont grip the wire very well, this caused me a lot of problems with the wires not being retained, also, the wire clamping screws are not made of brass, they are plated steel, obviously for cheapness, plus the clamping screw threads are poor quality, the screwing action is not smooth. 4 Gang Convertor
Bought 2 of these as we live in a cottage that doesn’t have many sockets in the room. Fitted 1 in the room so we could power the tv, smart recorder & router. It’s ideal for the job & works well. Fitted the other 1 in the dining room in the place of a double socket & it took just a few minutes to swap over. Easy quick socket upgrade
With these it's easy to replace an existing 1 or 2 way socket to provide additional sockets, as long as you have the space either side of the existing socket. For general light current usage like tv, hifi computers chargers and office equipment etc. they are ideal but they have a 13A fuse in the front for protection so I wouldn't recommend for kitchen use where you could easily exceed that with kettles and toasters etc.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

New 4 socket instead of a 2 socket....
I had a 2 electric socket and we had a TV, DVD, Manhattan and a CD. With the 2 socket it would protude all the plugs. Very clever, it's a doddle because the 4 switch socket can use the 2 back panel. However if you can't do it, get an electronic skilled man.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Socket Shortage Solution
Moved into a 1960's build bungalow with a drastic shortage of sockets, virtually all singles. A simple removal of the single and replace with the 4 converter and I've done away with adaptors etc. The conversion socket stands off the wall more than a conventional socket by approx 7mm but what's that compared to the size of an adaptor, it's safer as well. I was a little concerned as to whether the positioning of the bolts for the single socket would hold the conversion firm enough, absolutely no problem at all.
