Excellent quality substrate, ferrets love it
These are excellent quality wood chips. Nice sized dry chunks, perfect for animal enclosure substrate. I use these to neaten up the floor of a walk in ferret enclosure. I used to just use astroturf, however it was looking scruffy with their toileting area wood shavings going all over the place. The wood chips mask the look of that by acting as a decorative substrate over the actual wood shaving litter, and in turn it looks much more tidied. The ferrets also enjoy digging through it and foraging which is fun for them. It doesn’t rot down fast either, I only have to buy a new bag every 5 months. Only downside is postage costs but that isn’t the fault of the seller. These are definitely my go to for substrate after trying many different kinds, and I will be back in 5 months to get more.

I would certainly recommend this product and supplier.
A reliable and consistent supply of hardwood chips for my backyard chicken run. Smells nice and clean and does a good job for 6 months or more with the ocassional top up. Does not rot down as quickly as softwood. It dries quickly after getting wet in rain or a hosing down to clean. There are more small chips than I would prefer, but the price is competative and it still does a good job and the deliveries are reliable - so I would certainly recommend this product and supplier.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
