This is such a good tool to have when your out and about detecting with or with out a big metal detector! The idea of having something like this on you when you are on walkabout is interesting. Also when it comes to pinpointers there are so many copies and refurbished ones at silly prices? Not as advertised
The "Garrett" Pro pointer I saw advertised, clearly had the product name "Garrett" printed on the side of the pointer, the one I received did not. I have that "ripped off" feeling, the pointer I received is obviously just a cheap Chinese copy, if this was what I wanted I could have bought it for half the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Feels good quality when you hold it, but seems expensive for what it is. Nothing to compare it with so no idea how actually better it is over the cheaper ones. These had the best reviews which was why I opted for the expense and hopefully I will be pleased with the results. Is a Garrett pointer fair value?
There are cheaper pointers on the market, but I haven't tried those. I detect with a Garrett Apex, it found a target, I dug a plug, Garrett pin pointer couldn't find anything? Found a piece of metal using Apex only! Showed the metal to the pin pointer.."Nothing!" Back to Apex, it identified the target! A puzzle for sure. Garrett pointer has worked fine in all other cases.
