Yamaha make good gear, connected to my Yamaha receiver this cd player sounds very good, easy to use, I will probably never use all its user functions as I'm old school preferring vinyl and cassette for superior more natural sound, having said that I would recommend this player, now if Yamaha would only make a quality cassette deck again, the young of today would hear how music should sound.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Looks like proper Hi Fi
Easy to use and sounds good. it has a more relaxed and smoother sound than the similarly styled Redback DAB tuner I was using previously. The display is also easier to read from across the room. I bought it because of the looks and that it was the only DAB tuner I could find that also played AM radio. (Radio National is only on the AM band) Unfortunately it doesn't output AM or FM in digital to my DAC, only by RCA. I have to use digital output to my DAC for DAB and analogue output for AM and FM. this means I have to change sources on my preamp as well as the tuner each time I change bands. I can get the DAB on the RCA also but the quality is so much better when I use digital out to an audiophile quality DAC. Actually the quality between digital and analogue out isn't that much different. My wife couldn't tell the difference but I could.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
