Good but could do slightly better
Overall as with previous versions this is a very good piece of software at a relatively low price. It is also generally easy to use but as WebPlus has developed and more functions have been added it has become harder to find some of the standard features. This is not helped by the fact that the user guide and tutorials often tend to assume you know where to find a feature so only tell you how to use it, not guide you on how you actually find it to do so. There also seem to be more issues with upgrading than there used to be. Upgrading sites created in X6 to X7 or X8 appears to break more menu bar functions and create overlap or missing font warnings that didn't happen when upgrading older versions. Seems to indicate more focus on developing new features and less emphasis on ensuring it remains backward compatible. This however will not matter to new users. Another criticism would be that some smart objects are not easy to set up and the ways of doing so can be pretty obscure. Serif resources is no where near as intuitive as the rest of the features. Unfortunately it appears that this is the last ever version of WebPlus as Serif have moved their focus to Affinity and are saying that there will be no further development of their website software. That is a shame as there are only a few gaps left to be plugged in WebPlus that would have made it superb. All the same, if you are looking to build a fairly typical website with a few enhanced features this software will take some beating.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent software
This software is the essence of value for money. I needed a new website for my business but I just couldn't justify the £1000+ that it was going to cost me for someone else to do it. I have a lot of experience in graphic design but none at all in web design or coding. Luckily you don't really need experience in that! Just drag and drop items onto your page and with a bit of trial and error you will end up with a site that looks and feels like a pro did it, for virtually nothing. Discontinued Software, support from Serif for all its functions is limited.
In it's day, just a few years ago, this was an excellent 5 star product and a fantastic bargain for the money. I created a lot of really nice websites from it. However, this is one of the many products Serif has decided to discontinue and along with it, some of the functions are no longer supported or support for other features will end sometime this summer (2018). It's a shame they no longer offer Web Plus X8 and chose to not to continue updating the product and continuing its sale. You can still use a lot of the features it contains, but you may hit some roadblocks along the way.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Waste of money
Very disappointing. I purchased this because I had to update my computer system to Windows 10. The software did load on Win 10, but I can not publish my webpages. This is probably more of a problem for microsoft, but this product should work on Win 10.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Really great software
I am a big fan of the Serif company and especially WebPlus X8. We have used their WebPlus software for over five years starting with WebPlus X4. It has gotten better and more reliable with each version.
