Excellent for helping to see the sewing
This magnifying glass was bought for as a present for my sister as she is having difficulty seeing the holes in the cloth etc when doing cross stitch. I have used a lit magnifying glass for years and felt that she would benefit form one especially in the evenings. The fact that this one can hang around one's neck is very favourable. It can be placed higher or lower depending on the sewer's eyesight. The price is also good. Excellent service with the seller as she was having to send the lit magnifying glass to a different address from mine. I would certainly recommend this item for sewers, knitters and readers especially when trying to decipher censuses and certificates when completing Family History, as the magnification makes everything bigger for us as we go about completing our hobbies. Cheap magnifier - not suitable for fine embroidery

Bought this on the strength of the previous reviews, as it was a higher price than some. But glad I did. It's made cross stichmore enjoyable, as I can cross stitch easier because it magnifies really clearly, extra zoom great for an awkward bits and I even use if for threading needle. Give it a miss
I found it bulky, the cord was too long and would not stay in place when shortened. Did not stand well with the foot down and found it impossible to see the batteries.
