Okay, but cannot be used with a Safari Chef 2!
Bought this to fit to my Cadac Safari Chef 2 LP to make connecting the gas hose easier. It’s nice enough quality and easy enough to fit. The only problem is that when fitted the male part of the coupling protrudes too far down which prevents the folding legs from folding up properly. My father-in-law wanted a simple way to disconnect the gas hose on his camping fridge so it wasn't flapping about while travelling or on electric and I found these for him. They're perfect for the job and easy to install on any gas system with a standard left-hand thread. Easy gas connection for Carri-chef.
I use two gas bottles with the Carri-chef, a camping gaz 904 when abroad and a calor patio gas bottle in the UK. I bought two of these adaptors allowing either bottle to be just plugged in. The screw part of the fixing remains on the carri-chef permantly and fits in the bag OK. This reduces the likelyhood of leaks due to not tightening the nut adequately as you only do it once and then thoroughly test it ( I normally check it every time I set it up anyway). Quick release connection
Does what it says on the tin. Handy if you use things with different gas sources. I have a gas connection to my caravan with a fixed plug system but I can use my barbecue at home or elsewhere with a different gas system. Quick Release Tailpiece for Cadac.
Already have one on our tourer Cadac. Bought this to put on a new one we purchased to use at home. The latest one shows all brass in the picture, just like our original one, which is fantastic. The one received is brass with a plastic release sleeve. Haven't put it on new Cadac yet, but expect it to work as well as our other one does.
