Plug weld grip pliers
The tool does exactly what it says making plug welds easy. The only thing to note is that you need two flat surfaces to clamp together - if one sheet has a small flange (such as is sometimes on the lower edge of a vehicle sill panel) I found the clamp doesn't clamp quite so well because of the shape of the jaws.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

If you're plug welding this is the tool you need.
Brilliant bits of kit...if your doing a resto these are a defo buy. Good strong clamp and the copper backing pad is brilliant.. no more struggling with blow through and the U shaped side is perfect for the mig shourds.
