Not a good product. Sometimes does not work properly.
This is NOT a good product because of the following reasons: 1. It does not always connect itself automatically to my 2 cellphones. The supplier advised me to make a RESET but I do not think that I am supposed to do RESETs every day or two. 2. The big problem is with it's rechargeable battery. THE BATTERY HAS TOO LOW CAPACITY. The battery have low capacity, therefore you have to charge it constantly while you are driving the car. Even so, after a while, with so many recharges you will find yourself with a faulty battery and you have to buy a new product. 3. The product is made so that YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REPLACE THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY when it will become weak and unable to recharge to its full capacity. 4. Another problem I have is with the low volume. Again, I made a contact with the supplier and they advice me to make another type of RESET. Quality item and so easy to set up and use. Quality of calls are very good, hands free call answering brilliant but.... to use the voice recognition of your contacts requires the voice clarity of our Queen or you will have to rename them to something Minikit will recognise. Several of my contacts names would not be picked up by the software and would insist in ringing someone completely different aarghhh! But that said I would still buy it. Good hands free device, battery life lowers if you use the magic words setting as it's always ambient listening for instructions. Had to use the tags to get my voice recognised but once set up really good. Handy you can connect two phones as well. I found the quick guide instructions a bit lacking and had to go to the parrot website to get full user guide which I needed. That was my only complaint really. Amazing little Gadget.
I have had a Nokia Hands free kit in my cars for 10 years with a hard wired Nokia phone, this worked perfectly but when I recently replaced my old phone with a Samsung Smart phone the quality of the bluetooth audio connection was variable sometimes OK sometimes totally useless. I installed the Nokia kit myself and it is easy but time consuming stripping our panels to route the wiring. My Granddaughter purchased the Minikit and when she showed it me I was amazed. So I purchased the Minikit it is amazing and truly handsfree. I needed to change some of the names in the contact list to help in the number selection and also use a voice tag for some numbers but overall I am really impressed with the unit. Another strong point is that the unit can be easily moved and used in any car without having to install it each time. Clever kit!!
Bought this for my wife's mini. It takes a bit of getting used to but an hour with it and the manual you'll be an expert. Navigation is so simple it's a bit difficult to grasp at first but when u have u will realise why. Voice recognition is good but you need to practice. You can't end a call yourself without touching the red button (illegal) so u have to rely on the other party ending. Not a problem. Really happy with how minimalist it is. Reception when making a call is "crackly", reption when receiving a call is excellent. Battery life fluctates from being 100% charged to requiring a charge after being on for six hours - set not in use for the six hours. Not Perfect
Having been used to a professionally fitted in-car kit, this has its drawbacks. If I leave the It on, The battery is drained after a day or so. I thought it would last longer. Consequently I leave it plugged in. Everytime I go to my van it connects. It sometimes connects when I’m working close by, or when I’m in the house and the van is parked on the drive. So, I have got used to switching it off, then back on again when I’m driving. Sometimes I forget to switch it on or off. Which is then frustrating. Easy hands free
We already have one but needed another for my Mums disability car. This parrot is very easy to set up and use. My only gripe is that it sometimes doesn’t connect automatically, so I have to check before I set off anywhere. That’s not difficult to do though.
